e all know that South-
ern Indiana is a gem, but
spring break might even be
a chance for its residents to
get out of their normal routines and visit
some places they might not normally see
while enjoying some much-needed fam-
ily time.
From historic sites to scenic trails to
great food, this is in no way a compre-
hensive list of everything there is to do —
but merely a small sampling of some of
the best our area has to ofer. Go explore!
Food and Drink
Some of the best day trips are those
that involve great food and drinks at res-
taurants of the beaten path. Wherever
you live, consider fnding a cool restau-
rant a few counties away and making an
afternoon or evening of the visit. Besides
experiencing new food and a new town,
it's often the sites to be seen along the
way that make the trip a special treat.
So whether you live in Jefersonville
and take a road trip to Historic Down-
town Corydon or live in Paoli and spend
a day in New Albany, you'll enjoy taking
in the uniquely local sites, shops, and
foods of another great Southern Indiana
town. If you're looking to fll a day or
evening, get out a local map and pick a
destination!
Here are some of our favorites food
destinations and some other activities to
help you digest your meal.
