The event's primary sponsor was The News & Tribune. Pictured above is retired Judge Cile Blau, center, who was hon- ored with the Sue LaRue Award for her long-time support of Bliss House's mission and her devotion to changing the lives of individu- als who are addicted to drugs or alcohol. With her are Allen Oman, guest, and Mi- chele Anderson, committee chair. All smiles were part of the décor for the beneft recently. The evening also included dinner, a silent auction, a Bliss House alumna speaker (Tommie Wallett), and presentations for service to Carol Dawson, previous event chair, and Julie Schwerer, Bliss House director. WAVE-TV's John Boel served as emcee for the evening to beneft the Center for Lay Ministries, whose mission for more than 30 years has been to help people in need. Bliss House is one ave- nue through which the center continues its commitment to help the community. Feeding frenzy! Collaborators of the Snack Attack Café gathered recently with apprecia- tive elementary school children to cel- ebrate 10 years of sponsorship by Pills- bury/General Mills.
